FAQ

frequently asked questions

We provide embossing, windowing, foil blocking, offset printing, UV varnish, and litho lamination.

Embossing is a technique used to raise portions of a material to create words or patterns. This gives packaging a unique look and texture and helps images and text stand out.

Windowing adds a transparent viewing panel to your packaging, allowing customers to see the product without compromising protection or integrity. Suitable for various packaging types, these windows are made from different plastic or acetate films. We also offer a 100% biodegradable window for an eco-friendly alternative.

Foil blocking is the process of applying ultra-thin metallic foil effects to a surface. This can create a variety of finishes such as gloss, matt and satin that are impossible to achieve with traditional ink printing. The foiled cartons are still both recyclable and biodegradable.

Offset printing is a process where aluminium cylinders are used to transfer an inked image onto a rubber blanket which is then transferred to the final surface. There are many benefits of using offset printing versus digital printing, including higher efficiency, accurate colour reproduction, and crisp images.

Litho lamination refers to a process of laminating the outer layer of a corrugated cardboard box with a printed sheet. With these techniques, we can reproduce detailed, high-quality images to achieve a refined look that is combined with the strength of a traditional corrugated box.

UV varnish adds an ultra-high shine or matt finish to packaging. This can be added to the whole of the carton, or just to specific parts to give certain aspects of the graphics special attention.

We’re committed to adopting sustainable practices across our business, and have already invested in a number of eco-friendly finishing solutions.

All our cardboard, varnishes, and foils are fully recyclable, and we produce windows that are 100% bio-degradable.
